Cancer Research UK Gibraltar Branch - Flag Day 2007 and Thanks.
The annual Cancer Research UK, Gibraltar Branch Flag Day, held on Friday 2nd March 2007 has this year exceeded all fundraising expectations, with a record breaking sum of £7,021.34 having been collected.
Once again the committee is indebted with the response and wishes to thank everyone from all quarters of the community for the tremendous support, not least the numerous ever-faithful volunteers, too many to mention, who made this possible.
We also want to take this opportunity to thank Ms Dina Suisi for a generous contribution of £427 which she raised during her recent birthday party, in lieu of presents. Well done!
Mr Kenneth Cardona has also been very active with various fundraising events. He will be running the London Marathon next month in aid of Cancer Research and has already exceeded his fundraising target amount. We thank him for his efforts and wish him good luck, both during the intensive training period he is currently undertaking, and more especially for the marathon run itself.
