CRUK – Gib does not focus on offering patient support. Its objectives are two-fold – to raise awareness and educate on cancer prevention and early detection and raise life-saving funds to help Cancer Research UK find new answers to cancer.
For further local support the Gibraltar Society for Cancer Relief runs The Lady Williams Cancer Support Centre. The Centre provides a relaxed, friendly and welcoming environment where people can meet for support and information. It is staffed by a registered nurse and a team of volunteers and is visited frequently by other health professionals such as district nurses, dieticians and physiotherapists.
